As someone who used to live in London, I still love visiting this great city and see what’s new, catch up with old friends and coworkers and meet new and potential business partners and clients.
In a matter of short weeks, Superuser OÜ will be attending the annual event of 44CON 2023 - one of many successful cyber security conferences happening this year. It’s safe to say that we aren’t experiencing “cyber conference fatigue” in our vocabulary just yet. Within the rapidly evolving industry, for us, embracing a proactive position is not just advantageous, but an absolute necessity when it comes to bolstering knowledge that’s also indispensable.
For a short impression of topics to expect, keep reading for what we look forward to the most from the conference and what pulls this event together that attracts many security practitioners, researchers and enthusiasts from around the world.
44CON: Not Just For Cyber Security Professionals
Why has 44CON London consistently hit the benchmark over the years? Mainly because it goes beyond industry led events that often try to pitch products. We all know that many conferences have their own different style from mini-con’s, meet ups to the chaos of larger spectacles that descend on Las Vegas such as DEF CON and Black Hat USA… 44CON is not just for Cyber Security Professionals. The event cultivates the embodiment of community engagement wth the essence of a non-inclusive gathering that organisers deem as ‘dedicated for the community and by the community’.
Policy Village with UK Cyber Policy Makers
Introducing a Policy Village this year, attendees will delve deeper into anticipated cyber policy advancements while offering a platform to share and give direct feedback to UK Cyber Policy Makers. Because let’s be real, policy makers need to hear from folks who are battling the challenges right now. This front row initiative will voice your opinions in the policy game, a ripple effect that impact and innovative change shaping cores for the industry in the near, especially from a community who live and breathe cyber security.
44CON Assistance Programme
Notably so, the inaugural spotlight will not only be the Policy Village(s), the talks or workshops - 44CON has committed to another year of it’s Assistance Programme sponsored by Google. We enjoy seeing an event that has not only included inclusivity but provide support and assistance for students in the field or individuals who are financially constrained to attend. This programme will include many of the same benefits including assistance tickets from 13-15th September, additionally they will cover 2 nights accomodation at Novotel London West completed with breakfast and lunch.
It’s admirable to see this type of support in the Cyber Security Community.
